Duties &
Responsibilities:
Follow established opening and closing procedures ensuring that the premises are safe for arriving employees to enter when opening and all valuables, bank assets and customer information are secured at the end of the day.
Ensure alarm system is activated during non-business hours for protection.
Inspect automated teller machines, (ATM's) to detect the installation of skimming devices.
Observe all activity and report to management any suspicious persons or activity that may be conducted inside or outside of the bank.
Maintain good customer relations by assisting them with their needs such as helping fill out various forms and directing them to the proper bank employee.
Assist elderly or disabled customers by holding the door open for them.
Ensure that floors are kept free of trip and slip hazards, preventing customer falls or injury.
Assist management when needed in maintaining order if there is a person dissatisfied with service.
Help out when needed by performing other related duties that may be necessary from time to time at Management discretion.
Job Specifications:
A demonstrated knowledge of law enforcement is helpful but not necessary.
Active NYS Security Guard License preferred.
Incumbent should have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
Possess good customer service skills.
Must be willing and able to relocate to other branch offices on short notice.
Access to a personal vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license preferred, but not required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
